DIY Maple Vanilla Latte Ingredients
- water
- maple syrup
- vanilla extract
- espresso
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
- In a mason jar (or another glass container), mix one part water with one part pure maple syrup. Add pure vanilla extract to taste. Bonus: You can store this syrup in the fridge and use it later!
- Pull two shots of espresso. I use my Breville Barista Express to make all my espresso.
- In a metal container, add milk of your choice (I use regular dairy milk or oat milk) plus 1 tsp of the syrup & vanilla extract mixture. Steam the milk.
- Pour the flavoured steamed milk into your espresso and enjoy!
Hint: steam the milk so that it’s nice and hot, but be careful of scalding!
Equipment
My Breville Barista Express is my favourite machine in the house! I’ve been using it for years to make my homemade coffees, and to steam milk for the kids’ drinks. I highly recommend it, and it’s the perfect machine for DIY vanilla lattes like this!
Storage
Store the DIY maple vanilla coffee syrup in a closed mason jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Vanilla Latte Top Tip
Drizzle a little extra maple syrup on top of the foamed milk for an extra burst of sweetness.
