FAQ
I love this lemon, ginger, turmeric and honey tea when I have a cold, but you also might enjoy good ol’ peppermint tea when you’re feeling under the weather.
While tea might not eliminate a cold, it can certainly help your symptoms (like a sore throat, cough, runny nose) subside because of its warmth and healthy ingredients.
Ginger can encourage perspiration so it can be used to treat illnesses such as influenza or cold. The fresh root (NOT the powder) may have antiviral effects.1

Hi Christina,
love all the recipes you have on this blog. Really yummy food indeed.
Just wanted to add a little note to this cold/flue remedy tea. Turmeric gets better absorbed and therefore offers more health benefits if you pair it with a pinch of black pepper. Just a little bit should be enough to up the benefits of this lovely soothing tea 😊
Thank you! Yes, you can definitely add a pinch of black pepper if you wish.
