Imagine indulging in the rich, velvety flavors of a mocha latte paired with the creamy, tangy goodness of Greek yogurt—all in one yummy treat. This Mocha Coffee Greek Yogurt recipe is the perfect mix of decadent chocolate, coffee, and yogurt, offering a sophisticated yet simple way to elevate your breakfast or snack game. Whether you’re a busy mama needing a quick morning fix or just a coffee lover looking to try something new, this easy recipe will become your go-to breakfast or snack. Let me show you how easy it is to make!
Apparently I’m in a coffee mood this month! Last week I showed you how to make cold brew coffee, and this week it’s how to add coffee to your yogurt. I can’t help it – I’m a huge coffee fanatic.
Greek yogurt is one of my favourite high-protein breakfasts or snacks, so this mocha version is an easy way to change it up. You could use this as a base for your morning Greek Yogurt Bowl, use it as a fresh fruit dip, or eat it plain. It’s totally up to you! Either way, it only takes a minute to make so it’s super easy and versatile.
Ingredients
- Greek yogurt
- cocoa powder
- espresso instant coffee
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Add the yogurt to a small bowl, then sprinkle the instant coffee on top.
Next, sprinkle the cocoa powder on top of the yogurt mixture.
Then, mix the yogurt, coffee & cocoa powder together thoroughly with a spoon.
Finally, spoon the coffee yogurt into the center of a larger bowl and serve with your choice of toppings or sides. I served my mocha yogurt with berries, peanut butter, keto granola, sliced banana and espresso beans.
Tip: If you want to sweeten this mocha coffee yogurt recipe, you can add a 1/2 tsp of honey or maple syrup to the yogurt mixture. I prefer mine plain, but you may prefer yours sweeter.
Substitutions
- Greek Yogurt – instead of Greek yogurt, you can use plain yogurt in your favorite flavor.
- Instant Espresso – swap out the instant espresso powder for regular instant coffee powder for a milder coffee flavor. You can even use a teaspoon of regular brewed coffee in place of the instant coffee powder.
Storage
Store the mocha coffee yogurt in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
Top tip
Make a triple batch of this yummy mocha yogurt and store it in the fridge to enjoy all week as a delicious snack or breakfast!
